Chocolate Dial

A refined watchmaking technique

This dial is enhanced with diamonds set in 18 ct gold settings, adding a touch of elegance and brilliance. The sunray finish creates delicate light reflections, a signature detail found across many Oyster Perpetual dials.

The effect is achieved through expert brushing techniques that form fine grooves radiating outward from the center of the dial. These precise engravings allow light to diffuse evenly across the surface, producing a soft glow that shifts naturally with wrist movement.

Once the sunray finish is complete, the chocolate colour is applied using advanced techniques such as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or electroplating. A final protective layer of varnish is then added, giving the dial its smooth texture, depth, and refined finish.

The diamond-set bezel reflects the precision and artistry of expert gem-setting. Skilled artisans carefully shape the precious metal to form perfectly crafted seats for each gemstone, ensuring an exact and secure fit.
