Each stone is then placed by hand and meticulously aligned with the others, following a process that requires exceptional accuracy and craftsmanship. The gemstones are firmly secured in their gold or platinum settings, resulting in a refined and balanced composition.

Beyond the quality of the stones themselves, several factors define the beauty of fine gem-setting: precise alignment of height, accurate positioning, consistent orientation, balanced proportions, and meticulous metal finishing. White Dial

A refined expression of purity and craftsmanship

Lacquer offers exceptional freedom in colour creation, delivering rich intensity and a flawlessly smooth finish. The process begins with a brass base plate, onto which six ultra-thin layers of lacquer are carefully applied one after another.

A transparent varnish is then added to enhance depth, clarity, and brilliance, giving the dial a luminous and refined appearance. Once fully dried, the surface is meticulously polished to enrich the colour and achieve a perfectly even finish.

Finally, the dial is prepared for pad printing and the application of its hour markers, completing a clean, elegant, and timeless white dial design.

18 ct White Gold

Rolex produces its own 18 ct gold alloys in an exclusive in-house foundry, ensuring complete control over purity, quality, and precision. By carefully adjusting the proportions of metals such as silver, copper, platinum, and palladium, different variations of 18 ct gold are created, including yellow, pink, and white gold.

Only the purest raw materials are selected, and each alloy is meticulously inspected in an advanced in-house laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art technology to guarantee exceptional consistency and quality.

The same level of precision continues as the gold is formed and shaped, reflecting Rolex’s dedication to excellence from the very origin of the material through to the final crafted component.
