A refined watchmaking technique

This dial is enhanced with diamonds set in 18 ct gold settings, adding a touch of elegance and brilliance. The sunray finish creates delicate light reflections that highlight the refined character of many Oyster Perpetual dials.

The effect is achieved through expert brushing techniques that form fine grooves radiating outward from the center of the dial. These engravings allow light to diffuse evenly across the surface, producing a subtle glow that shifts naturally with wrist movement.

Once the sunray finish is complete, the olive-green colour is carefully applied using advanced techniques such as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or electroplating. A final protective layer of varnish is then added, giving the dial its smooth texture, depth, and refined finish.

The diamond-set bezel reflects the precision and artistry of expert gem-setting. Skilled artisans carefully shape the precious metal to create perfectly formed seats for each gemstone, ensuring a precise and secure fit.

Each stone is then placed by hand and meticulously aligned with the others, following a process that demands exceptional accuracy and craftsmanship. The gemstones are firmly secured in their gold or platinum settings, resulting in a balanced and refined composition.
