This construction mirrored the case back, which was also tightly fastened using specialized Rolex tools to ensure protection and durability.

Over time, the fluting transitioned from a technical necessity into a refined aesthetic signature. Today, it is recognized as a mark of elegance and distinction, often crafted in gold on models like the Lady-Datejust, enhancing its luxurious character.

Pink Dial

A Refined Watchmaking Technique

The pink dial showcases the elegance of fine craftsmanship within Rolex timepieces. Its surface is enhanced with a sunray finish that creates soft and radiant light reflections across the dial.

This effect is achieved through precise brushing techniques that form fine grooves radiating outward from the center. These delicate engravings allow light to spread evenly, producing a subtle glow that shifts beautifully with the movement of the wrist.

After the sunray pattern is completed, the pink tone is applied using advanced methods such as Physical Vapour Deposition or electroplating. A final protective layer of varnish is then added, giving the dial a smooth, polished, and refined appearance.
