Today, the fluted bezel stands as a mark of refinement and identity. On the Datejust 31, it is crafted in gold, adding a luxurious and iconic finishing touch to the timepiece.

Bright Blue Dial

The bright blue dial showcases refined watchmaking artistry through its signature sunray finish, known for creating elegant and dynamic light reflections across the Oyster Perpetual collection.

This effect is achieved through precise brushing techniques that form fine grooves radiating outward from the center of the dial, giving it a perfectly structured sunray pattern.

As light moves across these engravings, it is evenly diffused, producing a soft, subtle glow that shifts naturally with the motion of the wrist. Once the sunray texture is completed, the vibrant blue color is applied using advanced Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or electroplating techniques.

A final protective layer of varnish is then added, enhancing depth, richness, and brilliance while completing the dial with a smooth, polished finish.
