A Watchmaking Technique

The silver dial reflects refined watchmaking craftsmanship, achieved through the signature sunray finish used across the Oyster Perpetual collection. This technique creates delicate light reflections that give the dial depth, clarity, and a subtle radiance.

It is produced using masterful brushing methods that form fine grooves radiating outward from the centre of the dial, creating a precisely structured surface.

As light moves across these engravings, it is evenly diffused, producing a soft glow that shifts with wrist movement. Once the sunray finish is complete, the silver colour is applied using advanced Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or electroplating techniques.

A final protective layer of varnish enhances brilliance, depth, and durability, completing the dial with a smooth and refined finish.

The diamond-set bezel reflects refined gem-setting artistry, where skilled craftsmen carefully carve precious metal to create perfectly formed seats for each gemstone. Every diamond is precisely placed, meticulously aligned, and securely set in gold or platinum.
