Slate Dial

A refined watchmaking technique

The Slate dial features a sophisticated sunray finish that creates subtle and elegant light reflections, enhancing the character of the Oyster Perpetual collection. This effect is achieved through precise brushing techniques that form fine grooves radiating outward from the centre of the dial.

These delicate engravings allow light to spread evenly across the surface, producing a soft, refined glow that shifts beautifully with wrist movement.

Once the sunray texture is complete, the dial colour is applied using advanced methods such as Physical Vapour Deposition or electroplating. A final layer of protective varnish is then added, giving the dial its depth, richness, and polished finish.
