Diamond-Set Bezel
Gem-setters, like sculptors, carefully carve precious metal by hand to form precise settings for each gemstone. With the expertise of skilled jewellers, every stone is placed, meticulously aligned, and securely set in gold or platinum.
Beyond the quality of the stones themselves, Rolex gem-setting depends on several key factors: the exact alignment of each gem’s height, their orientation and position, the consistency and strength of the setting, and the refined finishing of the metalwork.
The result is a harmonious arrangement of brilliance and precision, designed to enhance the watch and captivate the wearer.
Slate Dial
The sunray finish creates delicate light reflections on many dials in the Oyster Perpetual collection. It is achieved through masterful brushing techniques that form fine grooves radiating outward from the centre of the dial.
Light is evenly diffused along each engraving, producing a subtle glow that shifts with the position of the wrist.
Once the sunray texture is complete, the dial colour is applied using advanced methods such as Physical Vapour Deposition or electroplating. A final light coat of varnish gives the dial its depth, clarity, and polished finish.
Everose Rolesor
Gold is admired for its lustre and nobility, while steel offers strength and reliability. Together, they create a harmonious balance that combines the best qualities of both materials.
A true Rolex signature, Rolesor has been part of Rolex design since the early 1930s and was trademarked in 1933. It remains one of the key pillars of the Oyster Perpetual collection, symbolizing a refined blend of elegance and durability.
The Jubilee Bracelet
The design, development, and production of Rolex bracelets and clasps combine advanced engineering with precise craftsmanship, supported by rigorous testing to ensure durability and reliability.
Alongside technical excellence, each component is carefully inspected by eye to guarantee flawless finishing and refined aesthetics.
Created in 1945 for the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Datejust, the Jubilee bracelet features a supple five-piece link design. It is crafted for comfort and elegance, reflecting timeless style and meticulous craftsmanship.
