Refined Sunray Craftsmanship

The slate dial features Rolex’s signature sunray finish, a refined watchmaking technique used across the Oyster Perpetual collection. It is achieved through precise brushing methods that create fine grooves radiating outward from the center of the dial.

These delicate lines interact with light to produce a soft, elegant reflection, creating a subtle glow that changes with wrist movement.

Once the sunray texture is complete, the dial color is applied using advanced processes such as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or electroplating. A final protective layer of varnish is then added, giving the dial its smooth, polished, and durable finish.
