Refined Watchmaking Technique

The slate dial features Rolex’s signature sunray finish, a sophisticated technique used across the Oyster Perpetual collection. It is achieved through precise brushing methods that create fine lines radiating outward from the center of the dial.

These delicate grooves reflect light evenly, producing a soft, dynamic glow that subtly changes with the movement of the wrist.

Once the sunray texture is complete, the dial color is applied using advanced processes such as Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) or electroplating. A final layer of varnish is then added, giving the dial its smooth, polished, and long-lasting finish.
