This design was mirrored on the fluted case back, which was also tightly fastened using specialized Rolex tools to create a secure seal. Over time, this technical detail evolved into a defining aesthetic feature and a signature of Rolex identity.

Today, the fluted bezel stands as a mark of distinction. Crafted in gold on the Datejust 41, it enhances the watch with a refined touch of elegance while preserving its timeless and iconic design language.

White Dial

A Refined Expression of Lacquer Craftsmanship

The white dial reflects a clean and timeless aesthetic achieved through advanced lacquering techniques that deliver exceptional depth, clarity, and a perfectly smooth finish. Lacquer allows remarkable freedom of colour while ensuring a rich and uniform surface.

The process involves carefully applying six ultra-thin layers of lacquer onto a brass base plate, gradually building a flawless and consistent foundation. Each layer is precisely deposited to enhance intensity and visual purity.

A transparent protective varnish is then added to enrich depth, shine, and durability. Once fully dried, the surface is meticulously polished to enhance its brilliance and smoothness, preparing the dial for final detailing such as pad printing and the application of hour markers.
