Over time, it evolved into a purely aesthetic element, becoming a genuine Rolex signature. On the Day-Date 36, the bezel is crafted in gold, combining heritage with elegance.

Olive-Green Dial

A Watchmaking Technique

The sunray finish produces delicate light reflections, crafted by expert brushing that creates grooves radiating from the dial’s center.

Light is evenly diffused along each engraving, creating a subtle glow that shifts with wrist movement. After finishing, the dial color is applied via Physical Vapour Deposition or electroplating, with a final varnish coat for depth and shine.
