The green dial reflects Rolex’s expertise in combining color and finish for a striking effect. Its rich hue is achieved through a meticulous lacquering process, where six successive thin layers of lacquer are applied to a brass base, creating depth, intensity, and a perfectly smooth surface.

A transparent varnish is then added to enhance the color’s brilliance and shine. Once dried, the dial is polished to amplify its luminosity and is finally prepared for pad printing and the precise application of markers, resulting in a refined and elegant finish.
