The fluted bezel is one of Rolex’s most distinctive features, symbolizing tradition and refined craftsmanship. Originally, the fluting on the Oyster bezel served a functional purpose—it helped secure the bezel onto the case, contributing to the watch’s water resistance.

This design was mirrored on the case back, which was also tightly screwed onto the case using specialized Rolex tools to ensure proper sealing and durability.

Over time, this practical detail evolved into a signature aesthetic element, becoming an iconic feature of Rolex watch design.

Today, the fluted bezel stands as a mark of distinction, crafted in gold on the Lady-Datejust, adding elegance, character, and timeless appeal.

White Dial

Precision with refined simplicity

Lacquer offers almost unlimited possibilities in colour expression, delivering a deep, rich tone with a perfectly smooth finish. The process begins with a brass base plate, onto which six ultra-thin layers of lacquer are carefully applied one after another.

After the layering is complete, a transparent varnish is added to enhance the depth, clarity, and brilliance of the colour. Once fully dried, the dial surface is meticulously polished to refine its appearance and intensify its luminous finish.

Finally, the dial is prepared for pad printing and the fitting of its appliques, completing a clean, elegant, and highly refined white dial design.

It features the Oysterclasp, along with the Easylink comfort extension system—an exclusive Rolex innovation. This practical mechanism allows the bracelet length to be adjusted by approximately 5 mm, offering added ease and flexibility in different wearing conditions.
